This week I am preparing for a Media Training job in the run-up to the Olympics: several days teaching executives how to come over well in front of the cameras, radio mike or in interviews with the print media. I’m also writing for www.moneymagpie.com reviewing restaurants and food-blogging recipes.

The Business Channel is my main focus this week, interviewing the great and the good from the worlds of Facilities Management and Building Services, at our recording studio in the CBI’s iconic Centrepoint building, on Tottenham Court Road. The PR campaign for School Dynamics’ “Love Breakfast” campaign has also come to fruition, with the official launch today. Their shock survey reveals that up to 40% of 17-18 year olds are skipping breakfast and it’s affecting their studies.

This week is filming at Mitsubishi Electric UK for The Business Channel in Hatfield, Hertfordshire on green issues and low carbon buildings. Plus recording interviews with ITN for the Association of MBA’s upcoming conference. I am also doing (with my restaurant reviewer’s hat on) a review of possibly the swishest eaterie in Knightsbridge, London – which will come under my forensic scrutiny. No bread roll will be left unturned.

Back from France and straight to work planning a campaign for School Dynamics, the company that runs lifestyle courses for students in UK schools. It’s going to be  big one, and close to my heart. Plus I am preparing for more Business Channel filming next week, in Hatfield.

This week I am working for ITN Productions - the corporate arm of ITN that does video production, amongst other things. I am presenting an ad for a food product, with a twist. All will be revealed when it goes live – I’ll post a link.

I am in the middle of making a very high-powered series of corporate films for the TV production company MediaZoo.  It’s a full-on, glossy, high-energy, big production. Flunkies, runners, PAs, production assistants, 2 cameramen, stills camera, soundman, clients watching my every move on monitors the whole time. It’ll be fantastic! I am really up for it. I probably won’t tweet for a while next week because I will be in the zone. Wish me luck.

I am consolidating my Media Training business and starting to pitch in earnest for a contract making a video for a new client’s website. It’ll include testimonials and a lot of explaining what they do, as it’s a bit involved. I’ll post a link when it’s finished. I am also looking at BNI, Business Networking International as a way of expanding. And gearing up for some new work with a High Street client, presenting a training video. It’s not finalised yet so I can’t say too much, but you’ll be the first to know…

Off to Banbury this week for a location shoot for The Business Channel  plus exciting new opportunities being developed with a new client as we speak. More details when it’s confirmed. I’ve been recording and watching a primetime terrestrial programme which I hope to be working on soon.  All that and recovering from first-hand experience of the NHS, which all went well, thank you for asking.
